Yell for the Mean Green on morning TV Nov. 8

Homecoming 2013Join the Mean Green Nation and turn Victory Park in Dallas green Nov. 8. WFAA-Channel 8 will feature UNT live on its news broadcast beginning at 5 a.m. as Homecoming week is in full swing, and the football team is now bowl eligible and on a four-game winning streak.

It’s the start of a packed Homecoming weekend. Here’s what else is on the agenda:

  • Enter to win a spirit pack, complete with UNT-branded water bottle, shopping bag, T-shirt, poster and lapel pin, by sending an email to InHouse with "Green Pride" in the subject line by 5 p.m. Nov. 11.

 Mean Green fans can get a free ride to Apogee Stadium for this Saturday's homecoming game against UTEP via the Denton County Transportation Authority "Get Your Green On" promotion.

Fans wearing Mean Green apparel can ride free on DCTA's A-Train and bus services on Nov. 9. Take the A-Train to the Downtown Denton Transit Center, a few blocks from the Denton Square, then catch a DCTA bus to the base of the pedestrian bridge in the Fouts Field parking lot. DCTA will also provide bus service after the game to return fans to the Transit Center.

The A-Train will operate between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.

DCTA bus service from the square to Apogee will run every 15 minutes from 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Connect Routes 7 and 8 also provide transportation to the stadium. Buses will also run between the square and the Transit Center until 10 p.m., and the last south-bound A-Train will leave the Transit Center at 11:15 p.m.
