Why are these people smiling?

Holiday Party 2012The annual campus partnership with the WFAA Santa's Helpers toy drive, a program that helps brighten the holidays for as many as 50,000 children in the North Texas region, continues until 9 a.m. Dec. 17.

The toy drive is sponsored by the Staff Council, Faculty Senate and the Student Government Association, and supports the university’s goal to be involved in the North Texas community.

Toys - which should be new and unwrapped - can be donated at wrapped collection boxes at campus locations, below. Boxes will be collected beginning Dec. 17. Toys will be placed in delivery boxes and taken to WFAA's designated collection areas.

The program collects toys for children who might not otherwise receive gifts during this holiday season, including children and families in Denton County. Many offices fill a toy box as part of an annual holiday party or community service event.

So who are these smiling people? Above, Britney McCartney, Rebekah Moreno and Keesha Trim, all in Risk Management, enjoying the faculty and staff holiday party - where toys were collected by Staff Council members - to add to the university's donation.
