UNT Police introduces new reporting system

February 5, 2013

The UNT Police Department has adopted a new online police reporting system that faculty, staff, students and visitors may use to file reports on certain misdemeanor crimes that occur on property owned or controlled by UNT. Incidents such as theft, vehicle burglary and vandalism may now be reported online.

The new service will allow victims to file their reports at their convenience from their own computers, removing the need to visit the UNT police department or asking for a meeting with an officer to make a report.

The online reporting system is an option, not a requirement, and the public may choose to report the crime in person.  Online reporting is available now at Once a report is filed, the person making the report will receive a copy via e-mail. Copies also will be distributed to police investigators.
