Emergency drill planned May 2 at Discovery Park

May 1, 2014

In keeping with UNT’s commitment to maintaining a safe and secure campus, the university is partnering with Denton police and fire to conduct a live emergency drill May 2 at Discovery Park. The drill, which will begin at 10 a.m., is expected to conclude by noon.

UNT conducts periodic emergency drills, exercises and training sessions to better prepare for events that could impact the university. Lessons learned from incidents at universities across the country highlight the importance of training and underline the need to have a cohesive, coordinated response.

During the drill police, fire and ambulance units from will be in and around Discovery Park. Unless students, faculty and staff have business at Discovery Park during that time, please avoid the area.
