Transgender panelists to discuss their experiences

Transgender individuals will participate in (Trans)-Cend, a free panel discussion at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 in the Willis Library, Forum.

Speakers will talk about their journeys in living as transgender people, followed by audience questions and discussion. Speakers will offer the perspectives of FtM (female-to-male), MtF (male-to-female) and cross-dressing communities.

The lgbt studies program plans to present these panels focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues during the spring semester;

April 19 -  LGBT People of Color

May 3 – Living with HID/AIDS in the LGBT Community

The panel discussion is sponsored by the Division of Equity and Diversity, Women’s Studies, GLAD and the lgbt studies program.

The lgbt studies program is designed to assist students who want to develop their understanding of the role of gender and sexual minorities - lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and transgender individuals - in modern society.
