Training, development classes available in July

Human Resources’ Training and Development staff offers a variety of free classes to enhance personal and professional skills of faculty and staff.

Featured July classes include:

Understanding Retroactive Pay, 9 - 10 a.m.  Thursday, July 28 in Marquis 118.  Have you ever wondered about retroactive pay?  Ever wondered if all pay is impacted by this policy?  It can be confusing and this session can help you sort out all of these questions. This session will provide specific guidance on what constitutes retroactive pay and when retroactive pay can and cannot be applied legally.  Facilitators will answer questions and provide specific guidance on your scenarios.  This roundtable approach provides an opportunity for participants to learn from other participants’ experiences.

Making the Most of Your Benefits, 1:30  - 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 in Marquis 118.  Are you ready for the Annual Open Enrollment for Benefits (July 11—Aug. 5)?  Before you make changes, learn more about your options and find ways to maximize the benefits you receive as an employee of UNT.  This session will focus on the many different optional benefits available to employees, including long term disability, short term disability, long term care, flexible spending accounts and supplemental life insurance.  This session will also provide detailed information about the Blue Cross Blue Shield Personal Health Manager.
