TAMS dean to speak at Korean conference in November

Richard SinclairRichard Sinclair, right, dean of the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science, is set to speak at the Global Human Resources Forum 2013 in Seoul, Korea, about his experience as the leader TAMS, which event organizers consider one of the “world’s best high school programs.”

The Forum will take place Nov. 7-8 at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul. This year’s event aims to create solutions for global issues, and open a discussion on human intelligence.

“All of us at TAMS are honored to be identified as a ‘world’s best’ program,” Sinclair said. “UNT has created an effective, efficient model for accelerating the education of academically talented, high school-age students focusing on science, technology, engineering and math majors. Many nations have approached TAMS to learn how our program operates so that they can duplicate its success.”

Numerous educators from Korea have visited TAMS over the years, and TAMS also was recently featured on a Korean television program highlighting successful high school programs.
