Take a load off your shelf, donate to EDGE program

The President’s EDGE program invites you to participate in its first book drive Feb. 4 through Feb 8.

The program offers classes and tutoring for employees who want to earn a GED, or general equivalency diploma.

All books collected will go to expanding the President’s EDGE classroom library. This book drive will support the program's primary goal of providing an engaging educational experience to staff members who want to obtain a GED.

Faculty, staff and students may donate used books of all types by leaving them at locations on campus:

  • Southeast corner of the Environmental Education, Science and Technology Building
  • Sidewalk of the east side of the General Academic Building
  • South side of Sage Hall between Sage Hall and the University Union
  • Sidewalk west of the Eagle Student Services Center
  • In front of the south entrance of the Business Leadership Building

President's EDGE programDonations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 4 through Feb. 8. Look for bins with the EDGE logo, right.

You can also request pickup of your books. Please contact Connie Havis at or 940-369-7097.

  • Questions? Contact Jeffrey Rose at or 940-565-4974.
  • Learn more about the program from participant Craig Stone, Facilities Maintenance.
