Seminar scheduled to prepare teaching assistants, fellows, adjuncts

UNT Teaching Excellence Seminar - January 2012As a way to provide our new teaching assistants, teaching fellows, and adjunct faculty access to best practices in teaching and supportive resources, UNT is offering a one-day seminar Jan. 12 that will provide an experiential learning opportunity for these new instructors.

The purpose of the seminar is to provide an opportunity for new assistants, fellows and adjunct faculty to explore effective teaching practices, issues that arise when working with students, and resources that can assist in their instructional roles.

Advance registration is required. No walk-in registration will be allowed. The seminar will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Business Leadership Building.

Topics include establishing credibility, motivating students, providing constructive feedback and classroom management.

Please visit this online site to complete your registration so that we can best accommodate your needs.

We look forward to meeting new TA’s, TF’s and Adjunct Faculty Jan. 12.
