Representatives of Target, PepsiCo and Sheplers to discuss global brands

Students in the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management will learn how to creatively take a brand or a business to a worldwide audience by attending the school’s annual Creating Consumer Experiences Symposium April 14. The symposium is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the University Union, Silver Eagle Suite.

Goodman Experiences provides consulting services to clients that want to bring creativity to their businesses. Goodman’s clients have included the Tournament of Roses Parades, ESPN, McDonald’s Japan division, Pixar Studios, ABC, Food Network personality Bobby Flay and Animal Planet personality Jeff Corwin.

He is a former vice president at Disneyland Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and Discovery Cove in Orlando. He created the Disney Magic Music Days program, in which high school and college students have the chance to perform at Disneyland. Goodman also was the head of entertainment and costuming at Tokyo Disney Resort and director of the Walt Disney Special Events Group.

 Other speakers for this year’s Creating Consumer Experiences Symposium are:

  • Sid Keswani, senior vice president, Target Stores for Target Corporation. He is responsible for the financial performance of more than 450 Target stores located in the Southeast United States.
  • Rhonda Levene, senior vice president and general manager of national accounts for PepsiCo Foodservice, who oversees the company’s national business in the convenience/gas, education, healthcare, specialty retail and travel and leisure channels.
  • Bob Myers, president and chief executive officer of Sheplers Western Wear, which ships merchandise to more than 100 countries as the largest e-commerce Western clothing retailer in the world. Sheplers has 17 stores in the U.S.
