Prybutok named interim associate dean for Toulouse School of Graduate Studies

Prybutok Victor Prybutok, left, Regents Professor in the College of Business, has been named interim associate dean of academic affairs at the Robert B. Toulouse School of Graduate Studies. Michael Monticino, dean of the graduate school, made the appointment, which will remain in effect until a permanent associate dean is selected.

Prybutok joined UNT's faculty in 1991 and in 2001 was appointed a Regents Professor of decision sciences in the Information Technology and Decision Sciences Department of the College of Business.  He is coordinator of the department's doctoral program and was director of the Center for Quality and Productivity  from 1991 to 2008.

He earned a bachelor's degree with high honors, master's degrees in bio-mathematics and environmental health, and a doctorate in environmental analysis and applied statistics, each from Drexel University .

He is a senior member of the American Society for Quality and a certified quality engineer, certified quality auditor, certified manager of quality and organizational excellence. Prybutok is active in the American Statistical Association, Decision Sciences Institute, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and Operations Research Society of America. He as published more than 100 published journal articles.
