Proposals for Quality Enhancement Plan due Feb. 25

Feb. 6, 2014

In fall 2013, students, faculty and staff were told of the Quality Enhancement Plan. This plan is a requirement of UNT’s reaffirmation of accreditation, but it’s also an opportunity to create and implement initiatives with wide-ranging impact on student learning.

Regardless of your role in the UNT community, this plan affects your future and your ideas are valuable.

The Quality Enhancement Plan will support UNT’s learning environment, adding value to the education students receive and giving faculty enhanced teaching tools. Faculty and staff members will be instrumental in implementation and their ideas are crucial as UNT starts development of the plan.

Following an initial call for general ideas, the Quality Enhancement Plan Team clustered the topics that are most relevant to UNT’s needs.

Review those topic clusters here.

The team is now looking for more specific information – short proposals for a Quality Enhancement Plan. These proposals may be related to topics in the clusters or they may be other ideas, as long as they meet the reaffirmation requirements.

Find out more about these requirements here.

Those who have ideas for short proposals may submit them here by Feb. 25. Once all ideas have been submitted, the team will begin the review process. Short proposals that most meet UNT’s needs, based on data which may be viewed here, will be selected for development into longer proposals.

If similar ideas are submitted by different community members, the team may pair the proposal writers so that they may develop a longer proposal together.

Still feel like you need clarification or maybe a little help getting started? The Quality Enhancement Plan Team can help! Members of the team include students, faculty and staff. You can find the full list on the QEP website at the bottom of the About the QEP page.

If you have specific questions you can also contact the QEP Team co-facilitators, Mike Simmons or Lisa Henry.
