Proposals due March 26 for transformative instruction projects

Transformative Instruction Initiative

The Center for Learning Enhancement, Assessment, and Redesign (CLEAR) requests proposals from faculty members who wish to become Global Learning Faculty Scholars in the Summer 2012 Transformative Instruction Initiative (TII).

TII is a program which provides support for faculty to enrich their courses through innovative instructional design. The purpose of this program is to increase the number and scope of courses, regardless of discipline, that use a mix of effective and engaging instructional strategies including face to face, online and experiential learning strategies to provide a high level of learning for students and support academic success.

In this TII program, faculty fellows will infuse global learning outcomes into their course to transform course content and learning strategies using current literature on incorporating global perspectives in teaching and learning. Each TII project must incorporate a blend of online, face-to-face, and experiential learning activities to transform a key section of the course.
