PeopleSoft 9.2 now live

March 1, 2016

Dear faculty and staff,

I am pleased to announce that we are now live in PeopleSoft 9.2 and you are able to access the new version in the Enterprise Information System (EIS).  The upgrade to EIS with a re-designed Chart of Accounts was one of the major goals of the UNT System-wide Financial Improvement Transition (FIT) program.  Over 100 members from across the UNT System components worked through the weekend to accomplish the cutover tasks required for the go-live on March 1, 2016.

Additionally, faculty and staff will be able to access new Cognos reports utilizing the re-designed Chart of Accounts starting March 2, 2016. The first reports available will reflect departmental budget summaries and transaction details for expenditures.  You will receive an email notification when these reports are available with instructions on how to access and run the reports. Teams will be working hard to further develop the reporting systems to take advantage of the many new reporting capabilities available with the new Chart of Accounts.

You can find more information about the FIT program at The FIT website also includes a Chart of Accounts (COA) page which has contact information for all components, a central COA email contact, training documentation, frequently asked questions, and many other resources.  A Cognos page will be added to the FIT website on March 1, 2016 to provide a manual on running the reports and contact information for questions.  We will also include the link to this page in the email notification for when the reports are available.

With the FIT program, the UNT System is investing in its people and key information systems to address the ever-increasing demands for effective and superior financial reporting.  Please watch for future messages that announce new features available as part of the FIT program.

Thank you,

Janet Waldron

Vice Chancellor for Finance
