Observe a moment of silence for France at noon

Nov. 16, 2015

Dear UNT community,

Many of us were shocked and deeply saddened by the attacks in France. At times like this, coming together as a global community to show our support and solidarity can provide healing power.

At noon today, UNT will follow Gov. Greg Abbott’s call for Texans to observe a moment of silence in honor of the memory of the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks and to show our support for the people of France. At UNT, we also are grieving for one of our own as 2007 exchange student, François Xavier Prévost, was among those killed at Paris’ Bataclan.

Please join us at the UNT Peace Pole (between the General Academic Building and Marquis Hall) at noon, if you can. And as you observe this moment of silence, please keep François’ family and friends as well as the families and friends of all of the victims in your thoughts and prayers.
