Money Week includes sessions aimed at faculty, staff

The Student Money Management Center will host its Fourth Annual Money Week Feb. 10-13. More than 15 financial education sessions and fun activities will take place to help faculty, staff and students manage their money well.

The Faculty Senate has sponsored two sessions offered exclusively for faculty and staff. They are:  

Investing Your Money - 5-6 p.m. Feb. 10, Business Leadership Building, Room 80  

Want to be rich? Too broke? Don’t know enough? Through this workshop, you will explore the importance of emergency funds, discover your investment personality and investing strategies that you can start working on today to help you reach your investment goals tomorrow.

A Discussion with H&R Block: Tax Preparation - 3-4 p.m., Feb. 12, Business Leadership Building, Room 70

Having the right information at hand is half the battle when preparing your taxes. Whether you are completing your taxes yourself, using the services of a professional or filing online, this workshop will help you learn simple techniques to take stress out of the tax season. An H&R Block tax professional will be on hand to help you make the most out of your tax return.
