Mean Green Circus continues through Nov. 8

Homecoming logoHomecoming 2014 starts today and lasts through Nov. 8. You don’t have to fly through the air on a trapeze to be a part of the “Mean Green Circus: The Greatest Homecoming on Earth.” Just attend events throughout the week, show your Mean Green pride and wear green.

The events include:

  • Homecoming Picnic: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 4, UNT Coliseum. Pep Rally at noon. Free BBQ with valid UNT ID.
  • Spirit Day: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 6, Library Mall. Show your Mean Green Spirit! Music, activities and entertainment from various UNT organizations.
  • Spirit March: 7 p.m. Nov. 7, starting at Fraternity Row on Maple Street and ending at the bonfire site on the northwest side of Apogee Stadium.
  • Homecoming Pep Rally and Bonfire: 8 p.m. Nov. 7, Apogee Stadium. Join in on one of UNT’s oldest traditions.
  • Homecoming Parade: 1 p.m. Nov. 8, starting at Welch and Hickory streets and ending at North Texas Boulevard and Eagle Drive. See the parade route.
  • Tailgating: Before the game Nov. 8, Apogee Stadium.
  • Mean Green vs. Florida Atlantic game: 6 p.m. kickoff Nov. 8, Apogee Stadium. Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the game.

Need some green? Enter to win a spirit pack, complete with a UNT branded tote bag, T-shirt, water bottle and more. Send an email to InHouse with "Mean Green Circus" in the subject line be 5 p.m. Nov. 7. Winners will be chosen at random from all responses.

Remember to share your Homecoming photos with InHouse so the campus can see your Mean Green pride.
