Making librarians 'look cool'

Udoug campbellNT librarian and alumnus Doug Campbell (MSLS ’04) was one of 10 nationwide to receive the “I Love My Librarian Award” from the American Library Association and the Carnegie Corporation. Campbell, who works with library learning services at the UNT Libraries, was honored this December with a $5,000 prize for making librarians look “cool” and for his “commitment to transforming lives through education and lifelong learning,” according to the ALA’s press release announcement. More than 1,300 librarians were nominated this year.
