Annette Lawrence, art profAnnette Lawrence, right, associate professor of art, is one of five Texas artists participating in the internationally recognized Texas Biennial.

Artists are selected for creating or completeing a major work that is permanently located in Texas or which responds to a site within the state.

Lawrence’s work is a sculpture commissioned by the Dallas Cowboys. It hangs in the Cowboys stadium, which opened in 2010. The mobile, Coin Toss, is a stranded cable installation 14-feet-by-45 feet, located in the stadium’s main concourse southeast entry.

The Texas Biennial continues through May 21.

Other biennial works are located in Austin, Houston and Cornudas.
