Join President Rawlins to learn the year's Top 10 accomplishments, future plans

President V. Lane Rawlins at 2011 Convocation.Sept. 4, 2012

Dear UNT community,

This is an exciting time in the life and history of UNT. When I say we're in the right place at the right time, I mean that UNT has opportunities that few institutions in the country have available to them.

We're in the heart of one of the most fastest-growing and diverse regions in the U.S., with so many high school graduates from all walks of life in need of a superior college education. We can — and will be — the university that fills that need. As a nationally recognized university offering the best educational experience in Texas and excelling in research, student support, workplace operations and community engagement, we are the University of North Texas for North Texas and beyond.

Please join me at Fall Convocation 2012 this Thursday as I explore what is ahead for UNT in the coming year and beyond. I also will look back at what we have accomplished together so far as I unveil UNT's Top 10 accomplishments from the 2011-12 academic year.

  • When: Thursday, Sept. 6. A continental breakfast will be served beginning at 7:45 a.m. Convocation will start at 8:15 a.m.
  • Where: University Union, Silver Eagle Suite
  • For those who can't attend convocation, it will be streamed online and at Discovery Park in the auditorium, Room B155.

I'm proud to be a part of the UNT family and fortunate to work with so many dedicated and accomplished individuals. Thank you for your commitment.

Sincerely,

V. Lane Rawlins

President
