Giving Week fundraising initiative under way

125 hours of giving

UNT's Giving Week, a 125-hour long fundraising campaign created to commemorate UNT’s 125th anniversary, will begin Sept. 14 and end Sept. 19. The campaign is the first-ever in the university’s history to span more than one day and to include all of UNT’s constituents.

David Wolf, UNT alumnus and vice president of advancement at UNT, said this is a great way for different communities to come together to celebrate the history, and the future, of UNT.

“We’re excited about the UNT community and our stakeholders coming together in such a unique way to celebrate Mean Green pride and our 125th anniversary,” Wolf said.

Wolf said any amount given will be monumental in helping to kick off the 2016 financial year and build momentum for the 125th anniversary celebration.

“No matter where you are, this 125-hour opportunity will allow you to reconnect to your UNT roots and every dollar donated will help to build our pool of academic talent and continue UNT’s amazing trajectory forward,” Wolf said.

Donations can be made to any of the university’s 4,000 funds, including the Inspire UNT Fund, which promotes academic excellence on UNT’s campus and helps the university acquire the necessary resources to further the world-class education its students are already receiving.
