Fun fact: What nation has the most students on campus?

Chinese paper cuttingUNT serves about 2,500 international students representing 118 countries. What nation has the highest number of international students on campus?

A. Mexico

B. India

C. China

D. Korea

The answer is C. China has the most international students at UNT’s Denton campus with 338 students, according to the UNT International Fall 2012 semester statistics. The spring statistics were not yet available.

Chinese New Year begins Feb. 10. The Chinese Students and Scholars Association will celebrate with a Chinese New Year Festival, featuring traditional performances, games and foods from their homeland from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 10 in the University Union Lyceum. Admission is free.

Chinese New Year is considered that country’s most important holiday.

This year will mark the year of the snake. According to Chinese astrology, a different animal is designated for each year in a 12-year cycle.
