Free lunchtime concerts at UNT Union Syndicate

The SyndicateThe inviting new design of the UNT University Union’s Syndicate makes it the perfect place to catch lunchtime jazz this spring.

The free weekly concerts are open to students, faculty, staff and the general public. Performances will showcase the UNT College of Music’s variety of jazz ensembles at noon on Thursdays and Fridays in the Syndicate at the University Union.

 The Thursday schedule includes:

  • Feb. 11 – Two O’Clock Lab Band, directed by Rodney Booth
  • Feb. 18 – Three O’Clock Lab Band, directed by Tanya Darby
  • Feb. 25 – Four O’Clock Lab Band, directed by Garrett Wingfield 
  • March 10 – Five O’Clock Lab Band, directed by Rigo Velez
  • March 24 – Six O’Clock Lab Band, directed by Conner Eisenmenger
  • March 31 – Seven O’Clock Lab Band, directed by Elliot Scozzaro
  • April 7 – Eight O’Clock Lab Band, directed by Payton Stevens
  • April 14 – Nine O’Clock Lab Band, directed by Luke Wingfield

The Friday schedule features:

  • Feb. 12 – U-Tubes, directed by Jake Macary
  • Feb. 19 – Zebras, directed by Aaron Hedenstrom
  • Feb. 26 – Latin Jazz Lab, directed by José Aponte
  • March 11 – Guitar Ensembles, directed by Daniel Pinilla and Armen Movsesyan
  • March 25 – Jazz Singers, directed by Jennifer Barnes
  • April 1 – Avenue C, directed by Justin Binek
  • April 8 – West End, directed by Andrew Evangelista and Camille DeVore
  • April 15 – Third Street, directed by Ryan Howe
