Frank Miller Rachel, Professor Emeritus of management

Frank Rachel, managment professor, obitFrank Miller Rachel, Professor Emeritus of management, taught at UNT for 43 years before his retirement in 2005. He died Dec. 31.

He received his doctorate from the University of Illinois Urbana in 1962 and began his teaching career in 1962 at North Texas.

Rachel, who also was a Regents Professor, published numerous books and articles in professional journals about his field of management and was a consultant for a variety of companies.

His hobbies included flying, sailing, traveling, camping, fly fishing and photography.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda; son, Mark Rachel; sister, Retta Goss; and three granddaughters.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Geary Rachel.
