Family Life Education sessions scheduled Feb. 9

(Editor's Note: UNT is closed Feb. 9 due to inclement weather.)

The College of Education's Department of Educational Psychology will celebrate Family Life Education month with these events:

Feb. 9

Speakers, discussions and information will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the University Union, Golden Eagle Suite. Topics include information about family life education, careers in family life education, how individuals can mesh their careers with families. Speakers include faculty, alumni and representatives from community organizations. 

Feb. 10-11

The department hosts the 19th Annual Conference on Parent Education with a keynote address by Pauline Boss, professor emeritus at the University of Minnesota.

Family Life Month is sponsored by the National Council on Family Relations, which was founded in 1938, is the oldest multidisciplinary non-partisan professional organization founded solely on family research, practice and education. The council's mission is to provide a forum for family researchers, educators and practitioners to share in the development and dissemination of knowledge about families and family relationships.
