Division of Enrollment announces administrative changes

June 30, 2016

Dear UNT community,

As part of the university’s continued efforts to improve services, gain efficiencies and strategically align its operations, the following administrative reporting changes have been made:

The Office of Admissions within the Division of Enrollment has been expanded to include graduate admissions and recruitment, and is now responsible for operating the Eagle Ambassadors UNT Tour program.

Please note, these structural changes in reporting will not disrupt any service for students or departments. Rather, they are intended to provide the university with the opportunity to better leverage resources and expertise in order to help us all reach our goals.

Graduate Admissions and Recruitment

The staff members currently responsible for graduate admissions and recruitment will still do all of the same work they’ve previously done to process applications for students and to assist departments.

As graduate admissions and recruitment transitions, the staff members within the unit who also are working to meet the needs of currently enrolled graduate students will continue to do so until the graduate school can assign the duties to new staff members within the school. This will ensure there is no break in service for either current or prospective students.

If you have any questions or concerns about graduate admissions call Angela Millican directly at 940-565-3933.

If you have any questions or concerns about services for current graduate students, please call the Graduate School at 940-565-2383.

This change means the Office of Admissions will now be responsible for the admissions processing of undergraduate, graduate and international students, as well as the recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students.

Eagle Ambassadors UNT Tour Program

The Eagle Ambassadors UNT Tour program will continue to operate as the university’s premier recruitment and experience program, it simply will now be under the Office of Admissions.  If you have any questions about the tour program, please contact Jennifer McLendon at 940-369-8504.

In addition, Kenn Moffitt recently moved from the Division of University Relations, Communications and Marketing to the Division of Enrollment in order to fully assume the broad oversite of the technology that supports recruitment and retention, such as the new Customer Relations Management (CRM) and Marketing Automation Platform (MAP) systems.

Together, these changes should help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of UNT’s recruitment and retention efforts.

Sincerely,Shannon Goodman
