Food pavilion and temporary bookstore to be demolished

With the opening of the new University Union, the bookstore tent located south of McConnell Hall will be demolished causing closures of sidewalks on Chestnut Street. The project is expected to last into January.

The temporary food pavilion between Sycamore Hall and Sage Hall is also scheduled to be demolished resulting in obstructions to walkways around the area. The stairway and ADA ramp on the north side of Matthews Hall will be closed through the month of December.

These are among 21 projects highlighted in the December issue of the Construction Obstruction Report.

Published jointly by the Office of Disability Accommodations and Facilities Management and Construction, the report provides the University with a consistent update of construction projects on the Denton campuses that may obstruct any path of travel.
