Larry g(EE)Dallas singer and songwriter Larry g(EE), left, who made his national debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live in December, will perform as the headliner at the DREAM 2013 Benefit Concert to raise money for the Kristin Farmer Autism Center.

The funk musician, a former front-man for Dallas-based rock band Odis, will be among several bands from the DFW and Austin areas that will perform in the concert, which will follow the 5th Adventures in Autism Intervention and Research Conference.

The benefit concert will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. July 27 in the atrium of the Business Leadership Building, Atrium. Concert lineup includes School of Rock, Goodnight Ned, Blue Bear, The O's, Fate Lions and Jess and the Echoes — including Jess Kellner, who competed on this season of NBC's "The Voice." The cost of the DREAM 2013 Benefit Concert is $15.

The conference runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 27 in the Business Leadership Building on the UNT campus and features two keynote speakers. Brian Reichow of the Yale University Child Study Center will discuss "Evidence-Based Practices: From Focal Interventions to Comprehensive Treatment Models." Katherine Loveland of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston will talk about "The Transition Age Young Adult with ASD/Asperger's."

At the conference, more than 20 other presentations will cover research developments that will be of interest to special educators, behavior analysts, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, parents and other autism service providers.

Parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder are eligible to apply for scholarships to attend the conference.

The conference and benefit concert are sponsored by Autism Comprehensive Educational Services, Inc.
