Comment on parking, transportation ideas Nov. 17

Nov. 10, 2015

Dear UNT community,

Please plan to attend the second planning workshop to test concepts for improving transportation and parking on UNT’s campus. The two-day workshop is set for Nov. 16-17 at the new University Union.

NOTE: The Nov. 17 workshop has been moved to the Business Leadership Building atrium.

Working with the UNT System and the consulting firm Nelson\Nygaard, UNT is conducting a 2015 Parking and Transportation Master Plan study to analyze its available parking, traffic on and around campus and identify sustainable, efficient and healthy transportation options for the future. The first workshop was held on campus in September to gather feedback from the UNT community.

Why do we want your feedback?

The campus is growing and, as many of you are aware, this directly impacts and creates challenges for how you get to and from campus -- whether it’s driving a car, riding a bicycle, walking or using public transportation.

How can you give your input?

  • Attend the come-and-go workshop, which will take place over two days:
    • 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16 on the second floor of the Union
    • 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.n. Tuesday, Nov. 17 in the Business Leadership Building atrium
  • Continue to use the interactive map and open comment board to share your thoughts about parking and transportation.
  •  Share photos and videos of your commute on Twitter and Instagram with #UNTmoves.

Visit regularly to learn more about the study and get study updates.

Geary RobinsonThanks to the great feedback we’ve been receiving from students, faculty and staff, I’m confident we’ll have a plan in place that will serve UNT for the next 10 years and beyond when complete next spring.
