Campus closed Feb. 9 due to inclement weather

Rawlins

UNT is closing all offices and libraries and cancelling classes Feb. 9 due to inclement weather. Online classes and online testing will continue as scheduled.

University personnel identified as essential must be at work unless otherwise notified by their supervisor.

President V. Lane Rawlins and the university administration will make every attempt to make a decision about the need for additional delayed opening or closure as early as possible.

Please check local media reports or the UNT website for information about future closings or delays, should weather conditions persist or deteriorate. Only delayed openings or closures are announced. This information applies only to UNT.

To ensure that you receive Eagle Alert notification, please be sure your information is up to date. Eagle Alert allows administrators to contact the campus community by phone. The system sends recorded voice messages to land-line and cell phones of faculty, staff and students. Text or SMS (Short Message Service) messages will be sent to cell phone numbers, if added to contact information.

  • Go to my.unt.edu, log in with your EUID.
  • Go to Update Eagle Alert.
  • Follow the prompts to verify and update contact information.

Before you begin driving to work, listen to radio or television news or visit www.unt.edu for announcements of closures. Only closures will be announced. If an announcement is not made, then the university is open for classes and normal operations.

And don't forget to share your safely collected snow or weather photos on UNT's Facebook page.
