Awards earned for marketing, advertising activities

The Division of University Relations, Communications and Marketing collected 12 awards from professional organizations for excellence in promotion of the university.

Multiple individuals worked with division staff members to produce the award-winning materials, which included videos, magazines, photography, annual reports and advertising campaigns. The materials were prepared to promote UNT's range of academics, research and innovative student programs as well as the university's value to the North Texas region and to the state.

URCM earned nine MarCom awards. MarComs are international awards that celebrate excellence in marketing and communication:

Platinum

  • How to Fund Your Education – Brochure/Education
  • The Transfer Advantage – Direct Mail/Brochure

Gold

  • The Chronicle of Higher Education Campaign – Ads/Advertising Campaign
  • How to Fund Your Education – Writing/Brochure
  • Only One – TV/Single Spot

Honorable Mention

  • Terry Scholar Postcard – Direct Mail/Other
  • Rosa Aloisi – Writing/Ad Copy
  • Graduate Viewbook – Brochure/Recruitment
  • Graduate Viewbook – Brochure/Viewbook

URCM also took home a silver award from the Davey Awards for a College of Visual Arts and Design video, Fashion on Film.

The Hermes Creative Awards, an international competition for professionals involved in the concept writing and design of materials, awarded URCM its first Hermes Award – a gold award for The Chronicle of Higher Education campaign from September 2010 through May 2011.

URCM won silver at the W3 Awards in the Mobile Websites/Education category for its mobile website.
