12 employees honored for successful efforts to support goals

Shawn Adams, Chemistry Department, CASCaMTwelve staff members received Staff Contribution Awards at the annual Employee Appreciation Week kickoff event March 26.

Staff Contribution Awards are presented annually to those who have made outstanding contributions in support of university goals. Any UNT and UNT System faculty, staff or student may nominate others for the award. Nominations are reviewed by a committee comprised of staff members and confirmed by the president.  

Other activities during the week included a picnic at Apogee Stadium, breakfast for late shift workers, discounts on meals, recreation center activities and merchandise.

  • Julie Willems-Espinoza, associate director, marketing, College of Business
  • Jennifer McDonald, student services coordinator, Teach North Texas
  • Cindy Trussel, administrative coordinator, Learning Technologies
  • Carla Smith, assistant director, Behavior Analysis Department
  • Cara Guziak, administrative coordinator, World Languages, Literature and Culture
  • Shawn Adams, administrative assistant for CASCaM, Chemistry Department
  • Qaisar Abbas, assistant dean, College of Education
  • Josh Gosdin, assistant hall director, Maple Hall
  • Kitty Roberts, staff psychologist and outreach coordinator, adjunct professor of psychology, Counseling and Testing Services
  • Kurt Krause, director, Internships and Cooperative Education
  • Dilana King, senior academic budget officer, Office of the Provost
  • Hillary Talatzko, program director, Rehabilitation Social Work and Addictions
